Jos Verstappen made his comeback in motorsport in 2008 thanks to Van Merksteijn Motorsport behind the wheel of the Porsche RS Spyder. Together with team owner Peter van Merksteijn and Jeroen Bleekemolen he wrote history in June by winning the most famous race of the year as the first Dutch team ever with an LMP2 car. In the Le Mans Series too, Jos scored exceptionally well with winning 4 of the 5 races in the championship. With this nearly perfect score and Pole Positions in all the 6 races, Jos is among the top 3 drivers in the history of the championship.
